Lesley Griffiths announced that the first ever Welsh Agriculture Bill was laid before Senedd today. According to the government, the bill aims to transform legislation to support sustainable food production, support farmers, conserve and enhance Welsh countryside.
The new bill covers multiple aspects, with aims to support farmers to continue growing high quality foods among the continued climate and environmental challenges we are facing. The new Welsh Agriculture bill also sees Wales to be the first ever UK country to ban the use of snares and glue traps.
