Welsh beef is internationally recognised for superior quality, flavour and high environmental production standards. Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales’ (HCC) have teamed up with technology company Oritain to form a partnership that will establish an advanced traceability for Protected Geographical Location (PGI) beef produced in Wales. Combining statistical modelling and forensic science, the project delivers farm-to-fork origin of Welsh beef products, enhancing the level of product traceability for consumers world-wide.
