The agricultural industry must begin to reduce its carbon emissions as per The Paris Agreement 2030 which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change. Mitigating agricultural contributions to climate change is a challenging field and changes will have to be made to land and livestock management, the use of farm machinery and fertiliser application amongst others. Smart agri-tech solutions could enable farmers to tackle these problems and achieve reduced or net-zero carbon emissions in the near future.
