An environmental blueprint designed to boost and promote the sustainability of the Welsh livestock sector has been published by Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) Meat Promotion Wales. The report, ‘Perfecting the Welsh Way’, details on-farm measures that could help contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from beef and sheep farms. Recommendations include improving soil health and grassland management to sequester more carbon and provide high quality forage for livestock.
